Just thought you’d like to know that we continue to hand out CYD strips on our Street Pastor patrols in Harlow and they are being gratefully received. A massive thank you

HOW TO USE the DRINK SPIKING test?

DAB YOUR FINGER

Dab your finger, straw or stirrer in to the drink.

TWO DROPS

Put a drop on to each of the test patches on the strip.

CHECK THE COLOR

If the pink patch turns blue, or the yellow patch turns orange then your drink has been compromised.

Every year, worldwide, thousands of people are thought to be victims of drink spiking.

HUNDREDS OF CASES REPORTED

So-called date rape drugs are used to spike a drink before a sexual assault.

THE DRUGS WE TEST FOR

Common date rape drugs are GHB (gammahydroxybutrate) and Ketamine.

If the drink contains GHB the pink patch turns blue, and if the drink contains Ketamine the yellow patch turns orange.

A QUICK BUT IMPORTANT TEST!

For peace of mind and your safety a test that takes just seconds is a must-do if you’ve left your drink unattended.

Both the GHB test and the Ketamine test have been developed and validated for the detection of these drugs by two independent bodies; the Clinical Trials Laboratory Services (CTLS) and the University of Strathclyde.
